eRA Final Reminder: eRA Modules Will Be Unavailable Tomorrow Friday, April 17 Through Monday, April 20 During Cloud Migration

This message is a final reminder that eRA will migrate its modules and data to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud from 8 a.m. ET on Friday, April 17 to 8 p.m. ET on Monday, April 20. (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-096).

The affected systems are all eRA modules (eRA Commons, ASSIST, IAR, iEdison, RePorter, etc.) and all eRA informational websites (era.nih.gov, etc.).

Any affected due dates are covered under NIH’s late application policy due to COVID-19, which allows all late applications submitted late for due dates between March 9, 2020, and May 1, 2020, to be accepted through May 1, 2020 (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-091).

Grants.gov will continue processing applications during the migration window.  Applications received via Grants.gov will be put in a queue, and eRA will process them on Monday night, April 20. The standard 2-day viewing window for successfully submitted applications will be applied.

For NIH RePORTER, please make sure to gather any information needed ahead of time. Any questions or concerns can be directed to RePORT@mail.nih.gov. During this window, basic public data on NIH awards will be available at NIH Awards by Location and Organization.

For information, please see the eRA Cloud Migration webpage.

The eRA Service Desk’s ticketing system will be offline and agents will be able to offer only limited support during the migration window. We encourage users to contact the eRA Service Desk when they are fully operational on Tuesday, April 21.
