Blocking and Unblocking Reviewers

One of the default settings for a meeting in IAR is to block assigned Reviewers from reading others' critiques of an application if those Reviewers have not yet submitted their own. This setting is used during the Read phase of a meeting. If blocked, a Reviewer's only available action in the List of All Applications for those applications is to submit the critique; however, once submitted, the Reviewer's block is lifted, and that Reviewer will gain access to viewing other Reviewers' critiques.

ClosedWhile blocked, the Reviewer will see the message You must submit your critique before you can read others next to any assigned application for which that Reviewer has not yet submitted the critique.

SROs who do not wish to block Reviewers can change this setting manually in the Control Center.

NOTE: Note: Only Reviewers who are enabled for the meeting can be blocked and unblocked.

Unblocking Reviewers

To unblock Reviewers:

  1. Access the Control Center by selecting the Control Center link from the Go To: drop down.
  2. Verify that the Reviewer is enabled for the meeting. Only enable Reviewers can be blocked or unblocked. Refer to Enabling Reviewers for steps on enabling.
  3. Select the checkbox in the Select column for the Reviewer being unblocked. You can select multiple Reviewers and unblock them at the same time.
  4. ClosedSelect the Unblock button.

  5. ClosedSelect the Confirm button to confirm the unblock.

    NOTE: If you select a Reviewer who is currently unblocked, you will see the following error message appear at the top of the screen: One or more reviewers are already unblocked (ID: 21871).

    In this case, look at your list of reviewers and double-check the Blocked column for all who were selected. De-select any Reviewer who has an N in this column and try again.

Blocking Reviewers

To block Reviewers who are currently unblocked:

  1. Access the Control Center by selecting the Control Center option from the three-dot ellipsis icon on the List of Meetings screen.
  2. Verify that the Reviewer is enabled for the meeting. Only enable Reviewers can be blocked or unblocked. Refer to Enabling Reviewers for steps on enabling.
  3. Select the checkbox in the Select column for the Reviewer being blocked. You can select multiple Reviewers and block them at the same time.
  4. ClosedSelect the Block button.

    NOTE: Note: If you select a Reviewer who is currently blocked, you will see the following error message appear at the top of the screen: One or more reviewers are already blocked (ID: 21870).

    In this case, look at your list of reviewers and double-check the Blocked column for all who were selected. De-select any Reviewer who has a Y in this column and try again.
