eMail Notifications

An automated nightly job checks the date that internal NIH users last accessed the system and takes the following actions:

  1. If the user has not logged into an eRA module for 120 days, the account is locked (status is set to Inactive).
  2. If the user account was created more than 120 days before and the user has never logged in, the account is locked (status is set to Inactive).
  3. If an internal user account has been in Pending Affiliation status for over 180 days, the account is locked (status is set to Inactive).

The following email notifications are sent to the account owner:

  • Reminder Notice – sent 4 weeks, 2 weeks, and 1 day prior to locking
  • Notice of Lock – sent when the account is locked

There is a column in the search results hit list titled Recertification Date so that users can re-certify the user accounts to be active for an extended period of time.
