NIH 2-Way Correspondence

Two-Way Correspondence ensures that all correspondence related to the application is saved in the Grant Folder.

This functionality will be enabled for PO and GMS users at NIH ICs that are participating in the Two-Way Correspondence pilot program.

  1. When you click an email icon on a checklist or Grant Summary to send email to the PI, PO or GMS for the application, a new email window opens in your email program, addressed to the selected individual and with the grant number in the subject line.
    Inclusion of the Correspondence mailbox on the CC line (eracorrespondence@od.nih.gov), grant number in the subject and text token in the body of the message ensure that copy of the message is sent to the Grant Folder.
  2. Add additional recipients or more subject line information as needed.
  3. Compose your message in the body of the email, being careful not to overwrite the text token. You can attach files to the email if you wish.
  4. Then click Send. The email and all attachments will be available in the Grant Folder Correspondence tab.
